Nominees for the Edward Sapir Book Prize 2010

SLA is pleased to announce that the following 24 titles have been nominated and are eligible for the Edward Sapir Book Prize 2010.  This is a notably rich and vibrant collection of recent work in linguistic anthropology. The winner of this prize for the book that makes the most significant contribution to our understanding of language in society will be announced at the  SLA Business Meeting during the AAA Annual Meeting in New Orleans, on Friday November 19, 6:15-7:30 pm.
